Blueberry Sauce

Vibrant and bursting with blueberries, this sauce takes literally 5 minutes to make and is delicious with pancakes, yoghurt, granola, muesli, rice pudding, custard, waffles, French toast, cake - whatever needs a delicious sweet fruity sauce and takes your fancy!

Ingredients

  • 250g fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 25ml/5 teaspoons sweetener, honey, agave or maple syrup or sugar (or to taste)
  • 25ml/5 teaspoons water

Instructions

  1. Collect together your equipment (see Recipe Notes below) and ingredients.

  2. Add the sweetener and water to the blueberries.

  3. Bring to a gentle simmer for around 5 minutes or until the blueberries have broken down to your liking.

  4. Pour into a jug ready to serve.
