If you are looking for a ‘homemade’ and incredibly quick and easy treat for Easter, and/or looking for a fun activity for your children, this Easter Bark could be just what you are looking for. It is so easy, that you really do not even need a recipe. You simply melt your favourite chocolate – it could be milk, white or dark, in a warm oven for less than 10 minutes, swirl the top and then add your choice of Easter goodies and treats. Let it set and voila! Happy Easter! 🐣
Collect together your equipment and ingredients. Line your baking tray(s) with baking parchment.
Preheat oven to 80°C/175°F (fan 60°C).
Lay the whole bars of chocolate on the parchment on the baking trays and heat in the oven for 5 – 10 minutes. Keep a close eye on it – you want the chocolate to melt and not cook or burn. The length of time will depend on your oven and the thickness of you chocolate. Mine took 8 minutes.
When soft, remove from the oven and swirl with a knife simply to blend the squares. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Decorate with your favourite treats and leave to set.
Break off pieces and enjoy!

This bark is best eaten on the same day
It is worth noting, that this speedy method does not properly temper the chocolate so this bark is best eaten as soon as possible, ideally on the same day. If you would like more information on tempering chocolate, see here.
