Pizza Wrap

Jump to Recipe

Incredibly quick and simple, this wrap concept has been taking the instagram world by storm! All you need is one wrap, four ingredients of your choice, wrap them around each other and heat on a griddle.

This incredible combination includes sweet marinara sauce, melted, creamy, mozzarella cheese, spicy, pepperoni and fresh, healthy baby spinach – all the flavours of a classic pizza on a thin wrap, ready to eat in less than 5 minutes. Yes please!!

I am not usually attracted to fads, but this one really caught my eye. Charlotte is always running in from work and needing a quick snack before dashing out again and this is perfect student food for Emma.

I have put it on the blog for both of them, as a reminder for when they want a quick meal. It works for both savoury or sweet, breakfast, lunch, quick supper or just a quick snack at home or on the go. Fabulously versatile, wonderfully delicious and incredibly quick – my favourite sort of food!

There are many variations:

Delicious with sweet or savoury, this pizza version has some marinara pizza sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella and fresh spinach. You can make it with so many different ingredients though. Other ideas include:

  • four cheese – use different types of cheese
  • smoked salmon, spinach, cream cheese and tomatoes
  • marinara sauce, ham, mozzarella, tomatoes – you could even add some pineapple
  • tomatoes, spinach, cream cheese, parmesan, red pepper or roast red pepper
  • tomatoes, pesto, ricotta, spinach
  • garlic butter, cheese and tomatoes
  • hummus, falafel, tomatoes, feta
  • cheddar and tomatoes
  • ham, cheddar, tomatoes
  • nutella, bananas, starwberries
  • peanut butter, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries
  • cream cheese, blueberries, bananas,

How to make these wraps:

Collect all your ingredients together:

  • 1 x large wrap
  • your chosen 4 ingredients – I used marinara sauce, grated mozzarella, tomatoes and fresh baby spinach

Then all you need to do is:

  1. Make an incision from the centre of the wrap to the edge.
  2. Divide the 4 ingredients up between the 4 quarters of the wrap. You will start folding from the bottom left, so try and put the food which is easiest to fold over, here.
  3. Start with the quarter near the incision and fold over each other
  4. Cook – I cook mine on a preheated sandwich grill but if you do not have one, simply dry fry in a frying pan over a moderately hot heat
  5. It is cooked when the centre of the wrap is hot, any cheese has melted and the wrap is slightly crispy.
